Rapper Ice Spice and her iconic red hair have been center stage at many events over the past couple years. Now she can add model to her resume.

The rapper’s latest project is with Adidas and its Ivy Park brand, which is produced in collaboration with Beyoncé.

The new advertising campaign comes amidst reports that sales of the Ivy Park line have decreased. And earlier this month, Adidas announced that its split with Kanye West would cost the brand $1.3 billion.

The new Ivy Park collection brings a fresh look to the brand, mixing vibrant colors, camouflage and neutral tones. All that was left to do was snag one of the hottest up-and-coming rappers as the new face of the brand.

A 23-year-old Bronx rapper of Dominican and Nigerian decent, Ice Spice first broke onto the scene in 2021. Not only did her rap style set her apart from the competition, her look — an iconic bright red afro — made sure she stands out in a crowd.

It’s not a look she would have been comfortable with just a few years ago.

“When I was in high school, I was straightening my hair, trying to be something that I’m not,” she told the New York Times. “Now it’s flattering seeing a wave of Afros. I enjoy that. I feel like that’s great for Black women especially, making Afros more like just a normal staple look.”

Even though she’s now more comfortable in her own skin, the idea of being a celebrity model was still a shock.

“When I got the call I was in disbelief,” Ice Spice told PEOPLE. “It was all sinking in on the flight over [to the photo shoot]. I’m still so excited to be a part of this!”

The collection and advertising campaign are influenced by 90s hip-hop culture, showcasing matching sets oversized pants and coats with form-fitting tops in bright purple and orange.
