There hasn’t been much music released from Future’s latest album, but fans won’t have to wait long — the Atlanta rapper’s ninth studio album, titled “I Never Liked You,” is set to drop this Friday, according to a post he made on Instagram.
It will be Future’s first solo album since “High Off Life,” was released in 2020. Drake, Travis Scott, DaBaby and Meek Mill all appeared on the album.
“I Never Liked You” spans 16 tracks and includes features from Kanye West, Kodak Black, Young Thug and Gunna, as well as a pair of Drake appearances. The track “Worst Day,” which Future released for Valentine’s Day, isn’t on the list.
“I’m putting myself out there,” Future recently said to GQ. “Sharing my lifestyle with the world. Sharing my pain with the world. Sharing my ups, sharing my downs with the entire universe. I believe in the energy of the universe and manifestation. That’s why I’m giving myself, because I’m willing to correct myself. I don’t want to just … be wrong. I’m willing to give you all of me, so you can tell me how to build on me, and make me a better me.”
Future has collaborated on a number of projects over the last two years, including with Swae Lee and Lil Uzi Vert. Fans can see him headline Rolling Loud Miami in July, alongside Ye (Kanye West) and Kendrick Lamar.
