Prepare to sip all the beer and ale you can responsibly handle this summer. German Bierfest is returning to Atlanta’s Woodruff Park.
Beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 6, attendees can enjoy over 50 varieties of complimentary German beer and wine. Authentic music performances and beer-themed activities are also planned.
Enjoy authentic cuisine from local German eateries and vendors, including bratwurst, döners, pretzels, sauerkraut and schnitzel.
Tickets are on sale now at bigtickets.com. General admission is $54. VIP tickets are $110 and designated driver tickets are $10.
General admission gets you a souvenir German Bier Fest tasting glass and complimentary German beer and wine samples. Food is available for purchase. VIP tickets get those things along with another limited-edition souvenir glass, private restrooms, a souvenir shirt, specialty access beers and German beer tasting sessions. You’ll also get complimentary catering instead of buying food. VIPs can enter the festival an hour early.
Last year marked the first time that German Bierfest couldn’t go on as usual.
“We miss seeing you guys, but are enjoying some #Germanbeer at home, organizers wrote on Facebook.
German Bierfest is the longest-running beer festival in the city. It began in 2003 to showcase and celebrate German culture with authentic German beer, food and music. Since then, it’s grown from a backyard-like event with 16 beers to dozens of beers and an expanded guest list.
“Today German Bierfest is on the ‘must-do’ list of Atlanta’s late summer festivals attracting thousands of festival fans and beer lovers each year,” the website said.
