Music from "Written in the Water"

“Written in the Water,” presented by the Georgia Center for the Book and curated by author-playwright Phillip DePoy, is a new series of readings. The first free reading, at Decatur Library on the evening of Thursday, June 15, features DePoy reading his short story "The Rumpled Man," described as "an Appalachian retelling of a Grimm's tale with a very surprising ending, with traditional music, accompanied by Lee Nowell and Chris Kayser." In this video, hear a sample of that music. From left to right, Lee Nowell, Phillip DePoy (on mandolin) and Chris Kayser (on guitar).
