They say variety is the spice of life, so just imagine eating the same thing for lunch every day for two decades. Well, a man from Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, has eaten a Big Mac every day for 50 years.

“I have eaten 32,340 Big Macs in my lifetime,” said 68-year-old Don Gorske in a video for Guinness World Records. “When I like something I stick with it all the time. The obsession for the Big Mac began because, for one thing, my love of hamburgers.”

His love for McDonald’s and their signature burger started on May 17, 1972, when Gorske got his first car. He recalled that the first thing he did when he got his license and his car was to drive to McDonald’s and order a Big Mac.

Eating a Big Mac a day can’t be healthy for you, right? That’s what many are saying after seeing Gorske’s story on social media. Surprisingly, his health is in good shape according to his doctors.

Gorske attributes his good health to only eating the Big Mac and not the fries. He also stays fairly active, and walks around his block daily which is about six miles. “His blood sugar has been normal. His cholesterol has been exceptionally good.” said his wife Mary in the video.

Gorske also keeps track of how many he’s eaten by saving the receipts, writing them on a calendar, and keeping the original boxes as proof that he has eaten it. He’s tried other burgers and chains, but nothing compares to his love for the secret sauce.

“I’ll eat a Big Mac every day for the rest of my life. Although, Mary says when the day comes where she has to put it in the blender, it’s over for me,” said Gorske.
