It must be the luck of the Irish — after a two-year hiatus, the Atlanta St. Patrick’s Day Parade is back.

The popular Atlanta parade will return to the streets of Midtown on Saturday, March 12, rain or shine, with pipe and drum bands, dancers, floats, clowns, drill teams and other performers to entertain spectators.

According to the parade’s website, it is Atlanta’s longest-running event, and is hosted each year by Irish Network Atlanta, a local chapter of Irish Network USA, which was created to connect the community of Irish, Irish Americans and those who have an interest in Ireland.

This year’s route begins at noon at Peachtree and 15th Street and runs all the way down Peachtree to 5th Street. For the best viewing opportunities of the parade, be sure to arrive early. It is also recommended by organizers that parade goers use MARTA.
