The Bronner Bros. International Hair Show sponsored the Hair Battle Royale at the Georgia World Congress Center on Sunday, Feb. 22. Five stylists competed in the high-energy event. Stylist James Gatson (right) of Atlanta cuts the hair of a model dressed as a centaur.

With the theme of Willy Wonka, stylist Tywan Williams (right) of New York cuts a model's hair. The five competitors each cut hair live in a boxing ring along with a ton of theatrics and choreography.

With the help of back-up dancers, stylist Tywan Williams (upside down) makes a finishing touch to a hair style.

The Bronner Bros. International Hair Show also sponsored a Fantasy Hair competition on Sunday at the Georgia World Congress Center, where over-the-top hair styles were inspired by a certain theme or character. Tashara Lewis models the "Royal Peacock" hair style by Temesha Debardladon of Birmingham.

Stylist Kevin Whitfeld of K Spot Salon in Chicago fixes Traci Beasley's hair called "Solar Sister."

Twyla Mays models the "101 Dalmations" hairstyle by Nakita Kimmons of Holly Springs, Miss.

Kimberly Matthews models the "Back to School" hairstyle by Angela Stuckey of Chesapeake, Va.

Kierra Townsend models the "SpongeBob SquarePants" hairstyle by Tammy Pettigrew of Mississippi.

Lacher Reeves models "Queen of the Corn" hair style by Christopher Fountain of Connecticut. Fountain's creation, that included a dress made of braided hair, won first place.

Ronika Watson models a Crown Royal inspired hair style created by Dallas Crum of Powder Springs. Crum's creation placed third in the competition.

Models show off hair styles in the Fantasy Hair Competition. The Bronner Bros. International Hair Show includes demonstrations, vendors and classes. The show continues at the Georgia World Congress Center through Feb. 24.
