Mizuno USA has released its signature AJC Peachtree Road Race’s sneakers that embody style, wearability and the race’s 50 year history.

The Rider Waveknit is a custom tech-loaded performance running shoe that resembles Mizuno's Wave Rider inline, including the SmoothRide midsole, according to a report by Footwear News. The shoes are available on Atlanta Track Club's website for $130 before taxes.

The running shoes are branded with the red, white and blue colors in honor of the AJC Peachtree Road Race Fourth of July race date. The Waveknit features a 50th golden peach logo on the heal and tongue of each shoe.

The Atlanta Track Club announced its continued partnership with Mizuno in January. The shoe company is the exclusive provider of footwear and apparel for all of the Atlanta Track Club’s events, including the AJC Peachtree Road Race, the world’s largest 10k. The partnership began in 2014. Mizuno and the Atlanta Track Club have teamed up for dozens of events, with the club’s nearly 32,000 members lacing up in a pair of Mizunos at each event.

“2019 is a big year for Running City USA,” Rich Kenah, Atlanta Track Club executive director, said in a statement. “As we celebrate 50 years of the world’s largest 10K, we couldn’t be more proud to be renewing our partnership with a brand as committed to Atlanta Track Club’s mission and vision as Mizuno.”

“Mizuno is excited for the opportunity to partner with Atlanta Track Club and join them on their mission to make Atlanta ‘Running City USA,’ ” Chuck Couch, VP of Running at Mizuno USA, said in statement. “The Club is setting the standard for impactful running experiences and is building an active, committed community that loves running.”
