The Peach Bowl dates back to 1968, when it was created by the Lion’s Club of Atlanta. The annual bowl game has been held in the city ever since.

The 2019 Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl will be played at 4 p.m. Dec. 28 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. This year's game is a matchup between the No. 4 Oklahoma Sooners and the No. 1 LSU Tigers.

There are plenty of ways to partake in the fun, whether you’re rooting for one of the teams or just want to indulge in one more college football Saturday this year.

Here’s a look at some events happening throughout Atlanta for the Peach Bowl

Fan night at the Georgia Aquarium
When: 4-8 p.m., Dec. 27
Where: Georgia Aquarium
For visitors in town early or fans simply wanting to be around the action, the Georgia Aquarium will hold a gathering the night before the game. Meet some new sea-dwelling friends and mingle with fellow football fans. Each team's cheerleaders and mascots will be onsite for a pep rally at 6:30 p.m.

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Parade presented by Lions Clubs International
When: 9-10:30 a.m., Dec. 28
Where: The parade begins at the intersection of Peachtree Street and Xernona Clayton Way. It ends at the Georgia World Congress Center.
The annual Peach Bowl parade will feature high school marching bands, floats, cheerleaders, classic cars and more.

Watch Party at STATS Brewpub
When: 10 a.m., Dec. 28- 1 a.m. Dec. 29
Where: Whether you're getting ready before the game, cheering during the action, or in need of a place to either drown your sorrows or celebrate a victory after it's all over: STATS Brewpub will be open. The bar and restaurant has more than 70 TVs to watch the game on. There will also be food and drink specials available.

2019 Peach Bowl Tailgate Extravaganza
When: 11 a.m.-8 p.m., Dec. 28
Where: The Gulch
Join other fans in Lot A at The Gulch for some pre-game fun. Sponsored by ThumbsUp Tailgating and Mobile Entertainment, the event will have all you can eat smoked pork, chicken and hot dogs. There will also be a bartender on site and TVs to watch the game on. The event is $50 to attend and will be held rain or shine. Attendees are welcome to bring their own coolers and are encouraged to bring a chair.

Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl Fanfest
When: Dec. 28
Where: Georgia World Congress Center, Building C
Before heading into the game, fans can swing by the Georgia World Congress Center for the game's official fan fest. It will feature limited-edition merchandise, giveaways, games and entertainment. The event will be family friendly.

When: 30 minutes prior to gates opening
Where: NCR Lounge, Mercedes-Benz Stadium
