Rick Ross’ metro Atlanta mansion has turned into a film set, with “Coming 2 America” being shot there.

The rapper shared the news during a recent radio interview with Nick Cannon at Los Angeles' Power 106. When Ross was asked to name his favorite movie, he picked "Coming To America," which sparked a conversation about the sequel.

That’s when he dropped the surprise announcement.

“The reason I believe in it is because they’re filming at my estate in Atlanta right now,” he said. “It’s going to be dope.”

This isn't the first time his Fayetteville home has been the set of a movie or TV show. The 2018 remake of "SuperFly" was filmed there and so was an episode of Fox's "Star."

“Coming 2 America” began production in Georgia earlier this summer. The Paramount film is expected to shoot in multiple locations, but a good portion of it will take place in the Peach State.

Part two of the 1988 comedy will star Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, who will reprise their roles as Prince Akeem and Semmi, respectively.

This go round, Akeem learns he has a long-lost son in America and must return to the U.S. to meet the unlikely heir to the throne of the fictional African country Zamunda.

“Coming 2 America” is scheduled to hit theaters Aug. 7, 2020.
