Mayor Kasim Reed and First Lady Sarah-Elizabeth Reed will join the Department of Parks and Recreation, Council member Joyce Sheperd and representatives from The Coca-Cola Company at a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Arthur Langford Jr. skate today at 4 p.m. at the Arthur Langford Jr. Park and Recreation Center. The facility is an addition to the existing Arthur Langford Jr. Recreation Center and Park in south Atlanta, named in honor of the late civil rights icon and father of First Lady Sarah-Elizabeth Reed.

The facility marks the second public skate park in the City of Atlanta and the first designed for beginner and moderately-skilled skaters.

During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in skateboarding clinics and interactive games, as well as enjoy Coca-Cola products, food trucks and music.
