In Atlanta, the opportunity to watch a movie on IMAX, Dolby and even the throwback standard big screen are aplenty.

Even with Netflix and Amazon Prime, people still head to the movie theater for that silver screen experience.

So, where do most of our AJC readers like to catch a flick? It was a close race to determine the best movie theater for 2019.

Tying for third place, with 13% of the votes, were Regal Cinemas Avalon 12 and Landmark Midtown Art Cinema.

Tying for second place, with 14% of the votes, AMC Phipps Plaza and Cinebistro.

And the winner of the best movie theater in Atlanta is …

Taking the title for 2019 is AMC Parkway Pointe 15, with 16% of the votes.

At Parkway Pointe, you can reserve your “AMC signature recliner” when you buy your tickets, then kick back and enjoy the movie.
