Watch "Downton Abbey": The PBS hit is the only original programming brave enough to air a new episode against the Super Bowl. Tune in to see just how evil Lord Grantham can get.

Eat at a popular restaurant: Take advantage of the fact that most people will be glued to their televisions and treat yourself to dinner at a restaurant that's normally packed. The Optimist (pictured), Cakes and Ale and The Spence are all good bets.

Go shopping: Do you really need an excuse? If you do, here's one -- the stores will be empty, and the only thing as all-American as football is exercising your purchasing power.

Go juggling: Whether you like to throw pins around or you like to watch other people do the throwing, the Atlanta Jugglers Association Annual Groundhog Day Jugglers Festival at the Yaarab Shrine Center is a fun, sporty Super Bowl alternative. The three-day festival attracts top jugglers from across the country.

Catch up on Oscar films: You have a few weeks until the Academy Awards, but Sunday night as as good as any to see the nominees you've missed, including "Django Unchained (pictured)," " Les Miserables" and "Life of Pi."

Take it to the Big Top: The Big Apple Circus returns to Atlanta after a two-year hiatus, and not a moment too soon for your alternate Sunday night plans. The show goes on at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Alpharetta

Check out the Annual Bach Bowl: Instead of the Super Bowl, check out the Bach Bowl, an afternoon of Bach keyboard concertos at 4 p.m. at Emory University's Schwartz Center for Performing Arts.

Do yoga or go to the gym: While everyone else is stuffing their faces with chicken wings and beer, you'll be getting zen with the Downward Dog or getting buff on the rowing machine. Even better, you won't have to fight anybody for the treadmill or mat space.
