The live-action series "Young Dylan" debuted last weekend on Feb. 29. Deadline reported Nickelodeon claims it attracted more than 2.6 million total viewers over its six airings during premiere weekend. It had the biggest Live +3 ratings for a series premiere on the children's network since 2017. That takes into account the show's same-day ratings when initially aired as well as the viewings for DVR and on-demand.

Perry caught wind of the news and eagerly shared his excitement on his social media channels Thursday.

“Thank you army!!!! I so appreciate all of this love and support!! God bless you. Thank you for making these kids stars!!” he said before telling his followers when “Young Dylan” airs — 8:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
