According to IMDB, the legs of legendary dancer Fred Astaire were insured for $1 million, though some sources estimate a much lower amount. Regardless, they were worth a million!

The award for strangest insured body part rumor has to go to Jennifer Lopez. Gossip spread like wildfire that the singer/actress had her derriere insured for anywhere from $27 to $300 million. Then rumors swirled that she had her entire body insured for $1 billion. She has denied the rumors in interviews.
