Sharon Leal plays "Cleo" in the film. She has also acted in "Why Did I Get Married" and "Dreamgirls."

Singer John Legend also acts in the film.

The film's director, Malcom Lee, was there. This is the movie's plot: Though it's been some twenty years since they have spoken with one another, two estranged soul-singing legends agree to participate in a reunion performance at the Apollo Theater to honor their recently deceased band leader.

Darrius Hayes, the son of deceased actor Isaac Hayes, was there. Isaac Hayes played himself in the film. He died Aug. 10.

Samuel Jackson plays "Louis" in the film.

Calvin Pace of the New York Jets watched the film.

Affion Crockett plays "Lester" in the film.
