Singer-songwriter Judith Hill came forward to the New York Times this week and said she was with Prince on his private jet when it had to make an emergency landing days before he died.

Prince suffered an accidental overdose of painkillers while in the air and was later administrated a life-saving shot of Narcan when his pilot landed.

Prior to her time with Prince, Hill appeared on NBC’s “The Voice” and made it to the final eight contestants as a member of Team Adam.

The New York Times noted that the death of Prince was hardly the first eerie moment in music history that Hill was connected to.

In 2009, Hill was chosen as Michael Jackson’s duet partner for the “This Is It” tour he was rehearsing for before he died of an accidental drug overdose.

Prior to her involvement with Prince, Hill also was featured in the acclaimed documentary “20 Feet from Stardom,” and it was there that she spoke of her admiration of Prince.

By the time Prince passed away, the two had become very close, and Prince even helped Hill put out her own music.

“He was my background vocalist for a lot of the songs,” Hill told the New York Times.

In September 2015, Prince briefly appeared in Hill’s music video for her song “Back in Time,” which was filmed at Prince’s home Paisley Park.
