The sun came out just in time for the 42nd annual Seafair Milk Carton Derby as nearly 100 festive boats took to the water at Green Lake.

There was no shortage of creativity once again at this year's Seafair Milk Carton Derby as nearly 100 boats splashed into Green Lake.

The Milk Carton Derby is one of Seafair's most celebrated events. Thousands crowded the banks of Green Lake to watch as boat lovers put their spectacular creations to the test.

Engines are prohibited in the Milk Carton Derby and the primary flotation must be dependent on milk cartons.

Perhaps the most important rule however is to smile big and make sure to enjoy one of Seafair's finest traditions.
