Miami-Dade Police said the warrant for Thomas is from Louisiana, where he is accused of writing fraudulent checks.

Thomas, 58, said the allegations were false.

Prosecutors dismissed an assault charge against Thomas last year.

A former employee of his Bar, Sports One in uptown Charlotte, filed a charge after she said he assaulted her in the club.

The prosecutor decided she didn't have enough evidence to prove the charge in court.

In addition to Sports One, Thomas owns a club in Charlotte, Club One.
