Brooklyn rapper Sean Price died Saturday. He was 43.

"The cause of death is currently unknown but it was reported he died in his sleep," a statement from record label Duck Down Music to Huffington Post said. "He's survived by his wife, and his three children."

Price was working on a mixtape set to be released Aug. 21, according to Rolling Stone.

Price started rapping under the pseudonym Ruck in the group Heltah Skeltah with fellow Broolyn rapper Rock,

. The duo also were members of the rap collective Boot Camp Clik.

The hip-hop community quickly took to social media expressing condolences and sharing memories of the rapper.

“Sean’s family and friends are asking for time to grieve and process the news,” a representative for Price said in a statement to Rolling Stone. “Further details will be issued when more information is available.”
