R.E.M.'s show Saturday was the last on the band's North American tour supporting its new album "Accelerate."

R.E.M., which is composed of Michael Stipe, Peter Buck, Mike Mills and drummer Bill Rieflin, heads to Europe for the next leg of the tour. Since its beginning in Athens and the issue of a flexi-disc in Trouser Press magazine, the band has released more than 20 albums.
