Whether you’re heading to a Braves game at Suntrust Park, a concert at the Coca-Cola Roxy or just looking to enjoy a night out on the town, Battery Atlanta is hoping to become a destination spot within Cobb County.

The mixed-use community that anchors the Braves' new ballpark includes a series of shops, restaurants and entertainment venues, including a new bar named PBR Atlanta.

Here are 7 things to know about the new bar ahead of its “Grand Opening” this weekend:

The "PBR" in PBR Atlanta stands for Professional Bull Riders. Branded after the organization that hosts bull riding events across the country, the new Atlanta bar is described as "cowboy cool meets urban chic." PBR bars are also located in cities such as Baltimore, Philadelphia and Louisville.

The mechanical bull inside PBR Atlanta is named after a former Braves player. Andruw Jones took a ride on the bull, named "Druw," last week to celebrate the opening of the bar. Jones stayed on the bull for about forty seconds before falling off.

“He’s such a class act and everyone in Atlanta likes him so much,” Ben Brengle, Live! At the Battery Atlanta’s director of operations, said.

Patrons won’t be charged to ride the bull.

Athens native Colt Ford will perform on the lawn within The Battery Atlanta as one of about a dozen outdoor events that Live at the Battery is planning to host each year. Admission to these events will be free and, if attendees want to head over to PBR Atlanta afterwards, there's no cover charge there, either. Brengle said outdoor lawn events will likely include wine and beer festivals.

PBR Atlanta is a part of Live! at the Battery Atlanta. Located above restaurants Todd English Tavern and Sports & Social, the bar is the last venue to open in the 30,000-square-foot Live! complex.

All of the Live! venues are connected, making it easy to play foosball at Sports & Social before heading over to ride the mechanical bull at PBR Atlanta. PBR Atlanta is also connected to Coors Banquet, which will be used to private events. Centrally located, Sports & Social is about 63 feet away from the Right Field Gate, according to Brengle. It’s also located near the Coca-Cola Roxy.

You never know who you might see at PBR Atlanta.  Brengle said it's not uncommon for PBR athletes to visit the local PBR bars when they're in town. Braves fans could also see their favorite players in the bar since Live! will also offer free entry and meals for Braves alumni and current players.

PBR Atlanta itself is also close to Suntrust Park. Braves fans can pile into the bar by simply crossing a bridge from the Bridge Entrance above the Chop House Gate to Live!
