The Owl-O-Ween Hot Air Balloon Festival on the Kennesaw State University campus seems to have multiple personalities going on at once.

It is an Oktoberfest (with craft brews), a costume party, a music festival, a chance for kids to trick-or-treat — and, of course, there are those hot air balloons.

Billed as “Atlanta’s largest Oktoberfest celebration plus costume party” the event includes some off-beat activities, including a “costume pole vault.” You’ll have to go to the web site to find out what that is.

Owl-O-Ween takes place 6-11 p.m., Friday, Oct. 22, and 4-11 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 23 throughout the 88 acres of the Kennesaw State University Sports and Entertainment Park, 3200 George Busbee Parkway.
