In “McHale’s Navy,” “The Carol Burnett Show,” “SpongeBob SquarePants” and too many guest appearances to mention, Tim Conway made generations of people laugh.

If you’ve never seen his performances on these shows, search YouTube for “Tim Conway Carol Burnett Show dentist” or “Tim Conway Carol Burnett Show characters.” You won’t regret it.

Conway, 85, died Tuesday, and his fans went on social media to share their thoughts and sorrow.
