Willie Nelson, B.B. King entertain Chastain

Willie Nelson and B.B. King entertained an enthusiastic crowd Sunday night at Chastain Park.

'Whiskey River' was among the many crowd favorites Willie sang.

Willie serves as president of the Farm Aid organization, which will present its annual fund-raising show -- featuring Willie, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews -- on Sept. 20 in Mansfield, Mass.

Willie's sister, Bobbie, has played piano in his band for decades.

Willie's latest CD is a collaborative effort with Wynton Marsalis called 'Two Men with the Blues.'

In addition to Wynton Marsalis, Willie also has recently worked with such diverse artists as Toby Keith and Snoop Dogg.

At age 76, the legendary B.B. King still defines the blues for a lot of fans.

The B.B. King Museum and Delta Interpretive Center, which opens Sept. 13, will tell the story of his life and his career, as well as stories of the Delta.

Since hitchhiking to Memphis in search of a music career in 1947, B.B. King has released more than 50 albums.

According to his official Web site, it's estimated that B.B. King has played more than 10,000 shows during his almost 60-year career.

In 1987, B.B. King was one of the first artists to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Upcoming Chastain events include: Jill Scott; Crosby, Stills & Nash; and the Beach Boys.
