Karinya Chen, the Austin, Texas, teenager who famously received a bedside concert from Florence + The Machine in May while in hospice, died SaturdayKXAN reports. She was 15.

Chen, who had been battling bone cancer, had hoped to see the English band in concert when they came to Austin that month, but she was too ill to attend. That's when the staff at Hospice Austin's Christopher House arranged for singer Florence Welch to put on a private show for Chen. Video of the performance was posted to YouTube, including a clip of Chen and Welch singing a duet of the band's "Shake It Out."

In an interview with KXAN five days before her death, Chen said, "If you take it one day at a time and just tell yourself don’t worry and don’t take things for granted and tell yourself that you are loved and you are blessed, then it makes it a lot easier to fight.” According to the news station, Chen had been cared for by Hospice Austin for the last nine months, including two stays at Christopher House.
