John Mayer and OneRepublic played Atlanta's Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in suburban Alpharetta. Mayer, who once lived in Atlanta and performed at Eddie's Attic, sported a new close-cropped haircut.

John Mayer played to a packed house Friday night. Mayer won two Grammys in 2007, for Best Pop Vocal Album for 'Continuum' and for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance for "Waiting on the World to Change."

John Mayer began to make a name for himself in music while living in Atlanta. He was a regular at Eddie's Attic in Decatur. The Bridgeport, Conn., native moved to Atlanta in 1997.
