Cloris Leachman has never been bashful and a report about her new memoir indicates she hasn't changed.
The book "Cloris: My Autobiography," details a one-night stand with fellow actor Gene Hackman and close calls with actor Ed Asner and singer Andy Williams, according to a New York Post story:
"She recalls bumping into Gene Hackman while both were shooting movies in San Francisco in the 1970s and dining with him at their hotel." Then the paper quotes Leachman from the book:
" 'As we moved into the main course, it was as if a cosmic wind enveloped us. Some giant space magnet was pulling us together,"We didn't finish the meal. We went upstairs, flew into bed and made love. It was epic. And the next morning, Gene went back to his film and I went back to mine. I haven't seen Gene since that night, but I remember well the feisty lad he was.' "
The Post also says that Leachman writes that Ed Asner, her "Mary Tyler Moore Show" co-star, told her he loved her and that she was " 'God's gift to men.' "
She made an agreement with him that she would have sex with him if he lost 32 pounds and he almost did - he lost 29.
" 'We both got so disoriented at what we were facing that his weight shot back up, and our assignation never happened.' "
The Post story says she also almost had sex with singer Andy Williams.
Leachman wrote that Williams had " 'enduring passion' " for her and dreamed of a hotel tryst with her, but it never came to pass because she stumbled across photos of Williams' family in the glove compartment of his car.
Once she realized how important his wife and child were to him, the encounter ended " 'as it should have, with a light, friendly kiss.' "
