Slate.com says according to data from Rotten Tomatoes, Jennifer Love Hewitt is the worst actress since 1985.

Slate.com recently dove into some data provided to them by film review site RottenTomatoes.com. Writers Christopher Beam and Jeremy Singer-Vine used critics' ratings to plot nerdy graphs about movies, coming up with some pretty interesting revelations. Our favorite nugget of information from all of this point-plotting? According to the numbers, Jennifer Love Hewitt is the worst actress in the modern era (since 1985). Let's take a look at some of her missteps.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's first role in a widely known film was in 1993's "Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit." The Tomatometer on Rotten Tomatoes says the movie is 7% fresh. Pretty rotten, but that is a reflection of the overall movie, not just Love Hewitt's small part.

Jennifer Love Hewitt's first breakout role came in 1995 as Sarah Reeves, opposite Scott Wolf in TV's "Party of Five." Though the FOX series wasn't exactly groundbreaking, the show did launch the careers of Love Hewitt and co-stars Matthew Fox ("Lost"), Neve Campbell ("Scream"), Scott Wolf ("V") and Lacey Chabert ("Mean Girls").

Love Hewitt's first film role that allowed her to ride the success of "Party of Five" was 1997's "I Know What You Did Last Summer," a teen thriller that some might call a rip-off of "PO5" co-star Neve Campbell's "Scream," which came out the previous year. The movie is 35% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, but its 1998 followup, "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer" (above, co-starring Brandy), comes in at just 7% fresh.

J. Love played the object of some intense teen infatuation in 1998's "Can't Hardly Wait," a film co-starring then-hot Ethan Embry. The comedy about fulfilling high school dreams before going off to college is one of the actress' highest rated films, coming in at 44% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. It's only beat by 2001's "Heartbreakers" at 53%.

Love Hewitt played record company exec Cate in 1999's "The Suburbans," a drama that's rated 0% fresh because there aren't even enough reviews to calculate on the Tomatometer.

The actress may not be very good at conveying emotion, but she is striking -- so striking she was tapped to play iconic beauty Audrey Hepburn in the 2000 TV film "The Audrey Hepburn Story." This one does a little better, coming in at 20% fresh.

The young actress starred opposite Jackie Chan in 2002 action flick "The Tuxedo." With a name like that, how could they go wrong? Well, they did. The film is 22% fresh and Richard Roeper called it "one of the worst movies of the year."

The actress lent her voice to 2008's animated adventure film "Delgo," which brought in a cool $500K (yes, thousand) at the box office and is rated just 12% fresh. But more importantly, is this animated dude blazing up? What's going on in this scene?

For half a decade (2005-2010) Jennifer Love Hewitt played a woman who can communicate with spirits in USA network's "Ghost Whisperer." That's a long time to do something without anyone noticing.

Despite her apparent non-existent acting chops, Jennifer Love Hewitt still has some appeal. The actress may be replacing Mariska Hargitay in the popular NBC TV series "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit."

And finally, if that acting gig on "SVU" doesn't actually pan out, Jennifer Love Hewitt can always go back to her singing career. Remember 2002's "BareNaked?" No? Well, there's also no shame in early retirement.
