The cast of NBC’s hit sitcom “Community” will reunite for a virtual table read — and metro Atlanta’s own Donald Glover will be a part of the event.

Variety reported the cast and creator Dan Harmon will gather virtually for the reading of a capsule episode of the show, which will support relief efforts for COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus.

The table read, which will be followed by a Q&A, will see the cast read the “Cooperative Polygraphy” script. The episode focuses on the study group gathering at Greendale Community College library following the funeral of Pierce, portrayed in the series by Chevy Chase. Tensions emerge and the characters’ true feelings are revealed after they submit to a lie detector test.

Glover will return to the “Community” world for the first time since he left the show in season five. He’ll be joined by stars Joel McHale, Gillian Jacobs, Danny Pudi, Yvette Nicole Brown, Alison Brie, Jim Rash, Ken Jeong as well as series creator Harmon.

Variety reported Walton Goggins, who played Pierce’s estate executor, will be unable to join the table read.

The table read and Q&A of fan-submitted questions will be posted in full at 5 p.m. Monday, May 18 on Sony Pictures TV’s “Community” YouTube page. Fans can send their questions via social media using #AskCommunity and by tagging @CommunityTV.

Fans will be called on to donate to two charities — José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen and Frontline Foods — as part of the event. Each organization is part of efforts to back COVID-19 relief, including providing nutritious meals to first responders working on the front lines of the pandemic and communities in need in the U.S.

Sony Pictures Television, which is the distributor for "Community," will donate to the charities on behalf of the series family. Fans will be asked to contribute to the "Community" fund here.

"Community" ran for five seasons on NBC before its final season aired on Yahoo Screen in 2015. Glover left the show in 2013 and  explained why while promoting his hit FX show, "Atlanta," in 2016.

“I just like endings,” the actor said according to IGN. “I think everything should have death clauses in them. Humans have death clauses in them. One day Trump is going to die. That’s guaranteed. It’s important that things end. I’m glad things end because it forces things to progress. I get really frustrated in the world that things could be better but can't be better because they haven’t died yet.”
