I was wondering if you could get the recipe for the Vegan Mac and Cheese they serve at the hot bar at the Ponce De Leon Whole Foods. I know they have the ingredients listed but I would like the recipe so I could make it for friends and family. — Morgan Hager, Atlanta

Jason Hovan, culinary coordinator for Whole Foods Market’s Southern region, was happy to adapt the store’s Vegan Mac and Cheese recipe for a home cook. This is a recipe created just for the Ponce de Leon Whole Foods Market and is not available at any other store. At the Ponce store, it’s prepared in house and rotated along with other vegan options throughout the year. In the photo of the store’s hot bar, you can see the mac and cheese on the right along with grilled okra and vegan Brunswick stew.

Just as they would in the store, he recommends preparing this recipe using Whole Foods 365 brand pasta, flour, vegetable broth, turmeric and panko.
