Q: Please help a pregnant lady out and share the recipe for the virgin skinny margarita served at Verde restaurant in Brookhaven. It is so light and refreshing. I have tried nonalcoholic drinks at other places, and nothing compares. Thanks!

A: Beverage manager Andrew Arsulowicz provided this recipe for his virgin skinny margarita without a minute's hesitation. He also provided the recipe for Verde's sour mix, which is capped off with Sprite or club soda to make Verde's non-skinny virgin margarita. A non-skinny virgin margarita mixes 3 tablespoons of sour mix with club soda or Sprite.
No packaged sour mix is good enough for Verde’s bar; they make their own from 1 part fresh lime juice, 1 part fresh lemon juice and 2 parts simple syrup and go through about 4 gallons a day. They even sell it to go with 24 hours' notice from either the Brookhaven or Collier Road restaurants.
