After being away from her talk show for about two months, Wendy Williams made her return.

Dressed in a black shirt and ankle-length skirt, the 54-year-old made sure her wedding ring was on display as she addressed speculation about her health and marriage.

Us Weekly reported Williams attributed her absence to ongoing efforts to get her thyroid medicine balanced, as well as balancing her Graves' disease. Both contributed to Williams' fainting on air and appearing to struggle standing and speaking on her show late last year.

“Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect when I hit the block today,” Williams said. “What had happened was we were only supposed to be off two weeks for Christmas vacation. At the end of those weeks, I started to feel thyroid-ish. They adjusted my meds. If you don’t know about thyroid disease, it’s a lifelong thing and they are always adjusting stuff. It can really screw you over.”

People reported Williams said she exercised while she was out, maintaining her figure.

“I’m at home and I’m taking my thyroid meds and I’m meditating,” she said. “I’m going to the gym seven days a week for two hours a day. Believe me you. I don’t know how this outfit is reading on TV, but mother has not gained a pound.”

Halfway through the show, Williams addressed the status of her marriage, but did so on her terms.

“I want to shout-out to my husband. I’m still wearing my ring,” she said. “Believe me you, when you’ve been with somebody for 28 years, married for 25 years … we know each other. He’s my best friend, he’s my lover. … I know what you’ve been seeing .. but hunty, let me show you who I fell in love with and who he fell in love with.”

Williams then displayed a photo of herself and her husband, Kevin Hunter, from the time they started dating.

What viewers have been seeing included tabloid reports that her husband, Kevin Hunter, is living separately from Williams in a house with a mistress, who is pregnant with his child.

“I’m still very much in love with my husband and anyone who’s been married, you know.”

“Marriages have ebbs and flows, marriage isn’t easy. And don’t ask me about mine until you see this gone,” she said, pointing to her wedding ring. “And it ain’t going anywhere, not in this lifetime.”
