Rupert Grint is going to be a dad. He and longtime girlfriend Georgia Groome confirmed her pregnancy Friday.

The pair's representative, Clair Dobbs, told USA Today the two "are excited to announce they are expecting a baby and would please ask for privacy at this time."

This is the first child for both Grint, 31, and Groome, 28. He is best known for playing Ron Weasley in the “Harry Potter” movie franchise, and she starred in the movie "Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging."

The two have been a couple since 2011, with rumors circulating last year they had married. Their representative denied those rumors, however.

Grint said last year, after turning 30, he was thinking about having children, the Mirror reported.

"I’d like to settle down and have kids soon. If I had a son, would I call him Ron?

"It’s quite a good name, but probably not. And Grint’s a tough name to pair a one-syllable first name with."

We’ll check back in 11 years to see if its letter from Hogwarts arrives.
