As fans continue to show love to Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road,” the singer made a special appearance at one elementary school.

According to Cleveland.com, the rapper saw a video posted on Twitter by Lander Elementary School principal Felecia Evans May 23. In the clip, fifth-graders dance and sing along to the rapper's chart-topping single, which got mainstream attention after Billboard removed it from the country charts in March.

“I love my job,” Evans wrote. “We ended our 5th grade talent show today with the whole school dancing and celebrating...together!!”

Lil Nas X took notice, retweeting the video and writing, “When they want a free show.”

Less than a week later, the rapper showed up to perform on Wednesday with staff from Complex magazine.

The students erupted in cheers, screams and surprise as the 20-year-old musician appeared on stage at the school’s gym.
