After more than four decades together, Lily Tomlin's longtime partner and collaborator is now her wife. Tomlin's publicist Jennifer Allen told People Magazine and other media outlets Tuesday that the 74-year-old actress and comedian married 78-year-old Jane Wagner in a private New Year's Eve ceremony in Los Angeles. Tomlin gained fame through the 1960s sketch show "Laugh-In," went on to star in movies like "9 to 5" and "All of Me" and more recently was a regular on the TV shows "Murphy Brown and "The West Wing." Wagner was writer of Tomlin's Tony-winning one-woman show "The Search for Signs of Intelligent Life in the Universe," and wrote the screenplay for her movie "The Incredible Shrinking Woman." Chicago Tribune columnist Liz Smith, a friend of both women, first reported the marriage.

Elvis Presley fans have gathered at Graceland to honor the late rock 'n' roll icon's 79th birthday.

Television personality Wink Martindale and Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of former President George W. Bush, attended Wednesday's celebration at Graceland, Presley's longtime Memphis home. The event featured a cake cutting and the singing of "Happy Birthday" by 16-year-old Canadian David Thibaul.

Presley was born in Tupelo, Miss., on Jan. 8, 1935, and moved to Memphis with his parents at age 13. He was 42 when he died Aug. 16, 1977.

Presley recorded his first song “That’s All Right” at Sun Studio in 1954. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the recording and the first radio airplay of the single by disc jockey Dewey Phillips on the “Red, Hot, and Blue” show.

The niece of fashion designer Ralph Lauren has been fined 2,000 euros ($2,725) for an air rage incident on a New York-bound plane that forced it to land in Ireland. Jewelry designer Jenny Lauren pleaded guilty Wednesday to breaching the peace and being drunk on the Delta Air Lines flight from Barcelona, Spain to New York. The crew made an unscheduled two-hour stop in western Ireland to remove her from the plane.

The 41-year Lauren’s attorney told an Irish court that Lauren was embarrassed by her actions, which were caused by a reaction to alcohol mixed with medication. Defense attorney Sharon Curley said Lauren suffers from depression.

Garda Inspector Tom Kennedy told the court that Lauren ranted, shouted incoherently and shoved a stewardess, who hit her back against a wall.
