Perhaps no one has expressed her concerns about the coronavirus pandemic quite like metro Atlanta resident Cardi B.

The Bronx-born rapper, whose legal name is Belcalis Marlenis Almanzar, took to Instagram last week to discuss the coronavirus, which causes COVID-19. In the expletive-filled rant, the star admitted she was scared and repeatedly said, "(Expletive) is getting real!"

Cardi B's post was soon turned into several remixes following the lead of Dj iMarkkeyz. It was this version, called "Coronavirus," that began charting on iTunes. Listen to it here.

The song went to no. 11 on the Apple media player's hip hop chart, Billboard magazine reported. As of March 19, it's residing at No. 9 on the iTunes U.S. Songs chart.

The rapper posted several reactions to the song’s success on Twitter, including one that read, “HAAAANNNNNN BIG VIRUS.”

She had also been retweeting chart updates and after seeing the tune was playing at a club in Rio de Janeiro, she considered making a music video for the tune.

But it’s not all about chart success. Cardi B announced on Twitter Tuesday that she plans to donate royalties from the song after Dj iMarkkeyz receives them. The DJ said he had hoped to do so after a fan mentioned it.
