Fulton County Schools will start classes an hour later six times this school year.

The first late-start day on the board-approved calendar for the 2021-2022 year is Monday.

The schedule is intended to give teachers time for training. Schools developed professional learning plans based on staff needs at each campus.

Students will still board buses at their regular pick-up times. Students who arrange their own transportation may arrive at school at their normal time or an hour later.

Each school will have a plan to accommodate those students who arrive before classes start, according to district spokesman Brian Noyes.

The late-start days for this school year are:

Monday (Sept. 20)

Oct. 25

Nov. 15

Jan. 24

Feb. 28

March 21
