Generations of Georgians have ridden The Pink Pig, a holiday tradition that started at Rich's department store in 1953.

The Pink Pig, hosting a church group in this 2005 shot, delighted children from 1953 until 2019.

The Pink Pig monorail at Rich's in downtown Atlanta was bright and pretty in 1990.

The ride was brought inside at Lenox Square Rich's-Macy's in October 2003 to drive up holiday sales.

In this 1996 photo, Danny Phelps prepares to move Rich's Pink Pig into the Atlanta History Center. Now a fixture at Macy's at Lenox Square from Thanksgiving through New Year's Eve, the Pink Pig continues to delight Atlanta's children (and their parents) as it has since it originally made its appearance on the rooftop of the old Rich's downtown store in 1953.

Guests ride the Priscilla the Pink Pig at Macy's Lenox Square. The Pink Pig ride, originally a monorail on the former Rich's downtown rooftop, became so popular in its heyday that a second Pig, Percival, joined Priscilla to meet Atlantans' demands.

The Pink Pig, travels through a series of mirrors towards the end of its circuit in 2010 at Lenox Square mall. Se public on Saturday and will be open through January 2.
