10 Terminus Place is a condo community in Buckhead.

The valet parking option is great, Cunningham said, and he enjoys not having to negotiate a multi-level parking deck. Not having to worry about any kind of upkeep is another great plus. Being on the amenity floor means he doesn't have to get on an elevator to go for a swim or for a soak in the hot tub.

In August 2008, 10 Terminus Place was ready for its first homeowners. Michael Cunningham was the second person to move in, delighted with his purchase of a one-bedroom 1,000 square foot condo on the 14th floor, one of only two units that open right onto the community's salt water swimming pool. With a 2,000 square foot patio, Cunningham's unit is perfect for enjoying the outdoor life all year around.

Cunningham has filled his new condo with Stickley furniture and vintage French advertising posters. He's got about 60 feet of floor-to-ceiling windows and a very open floor plan. A privacy wall separates his patio from the pool area, and between that and a long row of cypress trees, he's able to enjoy all the natural light but has enough privacy not to need curtains.

Nine years ago, Cunningham moved to Atlanta in his job as executive creative director for Eric Mower and Associates. "They had moved me around quite a bit, so I thought I'd only be in Atlanta a little while. After seven years, I decided I should start looking around for a home," he said, and he began looking at every new building that went up. The location, the relatively small number of units and the amenities at 10 Terminus Place were just what he was looking for.

There's a real sense of community at 10 Terminus Place, with residents getting together for Friday night cookouts. Cunningham has hosted several events in the clubhouse, including his company's Christmas party. "It's beautiful in the early evening with the buildings and all the lights," he smiled. Cunningham dropped his membership at a local gym and now uses the community fitness center where his personal trainer meets him twice a week.

"This isn't one of those massive projects so you can definitely get to know people," said Cunningham and he likes being in the center of shopping, restaurants and nightlife in his Buckhead location. His commute to his office in the Perimeter area takes him 10-15 minutes in the car, and he spends no time in traffic.
