Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is working on a plan to get portable backup generators, an interim fix until it can install permanent generators to avoid a blackout like it experienced in December.
Atlanta airport general manager Roosevelt Council said it may take up to six months to get temporary portable backup generators.
The airport manager said he expects it to take 24 to 36 months to get permanent generators in place.
