Troutman Sanders said Thursday it will open an new office in Portland, Ore. focused on the firm's fast-growing energy sector practice. The office, Troutman's 16th, is slated to open next month. Firm partner Lara Skidmore will lead the team which also will include Matthew D. McVee, who is now general counsel of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council and Antoine P. Cobb, who was the Arizona Public Service Co.'s federal regulation manager. Atlanta-based Troutman, which already has a West Coast presence in San Diego and Orange County, Calif. said the expansion into Oregon brings it closer to key clients in the Pacific Northwest.
