A Charlotte-based owner of self-storage complexes on Tuesday said it has sold nearly four-dozen centers, including four in Georgia, to Public Storage.

Morningside Properties, the owner of Morningstar Mini-Storage, said it sold the 43 properties for $315 million. The portfolio includes centers in Alpharetta, Pooler, Savannah and Statesboro.

Public Storage had 95 facilities in Georgia at the end of 2012. Morningstar said it continues to operate 23 properties, including one in metro Atlanta.
