Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport said is naming its terminal  automated people mover The Plane Train, the winning name in an online contest.

The decision comes after Hartsfield-Jackson held a contest on YouTube and Facebook, inviting the public to suggest a name for the automated people mover that goes from the main terminal to the airport's six concourses.

Putting a moniker on the train is aimed at helping travelers at the airport to distinguish it from the SkyTrain automated people-mover that takes people to the airport's rental car center and from MARTA.

Out of more than 600 entries and comments, Don Auensen of Marietta was the first to submit the name selected as the winner by former Hartsfield-Jackson general manager Ben DeCosta. Other suggestions were the Zipper, the Hey!Train and COLBERT (Carrier of Lovely Beautiful Excited Travelers).

Auensen got a tour at the airport Tuesday, along with a $100 American Express gift card.

The contest ended in April, but it took airport officials longer than anticipated to winnow down the submissions because they had to review names for potential trademark infringement.
