Atlanta-based Global Franchise Group has opened two Pretzelmaker locations in Russia.

The specialty pretzel stores are located in malls in Perm and Kirov. The franchisee is Alendvic, a Russian fast-food operator.

In announcing the geographical expansion of GFG’s brands, President and CEO Chris Dull said in a statement that the company sees “enormous potential in the Russian restaurant market.”

Alendvic founder Alexander Nikiforov said, “The culture of eating out is constantly changing in Russia, and people are more inclined to try new cuisines.”

GFG also has opened Pretzelmakers in Canada, Guam and Mexico.

The franchise companies other brands include Great American Cookies, Hot Dog on a Stick, Marble Slab Creamery. MaggieMoo’s Ice Cream & Treatery and Hot Dog on a Stick, which GFG announced in August it was acquiring from California-based HDOS. .
