A New York-based manufacturing company said this week it will establish a factory in Macon where it will make plastic packaging for the food and health care industries.

First Quality Packaging Solutions plans to create 115 jobs in Macon at a new facility where it will invest more than $68 million, the company and economic development officials said in a Wednesday news release.

The company is related to First Quality Baby Products, which makes diapers at a facility in Macon. The new factory is expected to begin production early next year, the release stated.
