The magazine named the district the No. 178 best employer in the country, ahead of well-known companies such as Starbucks, Unilever, and Texas Instruments.

As of July 17, Gwinnett County Schools had 62 teacher vacancies. There are also postings listed for the following jobs:

How do you apply for a job?
Look at the list of openings for external and internal applicants and fill out an online application. It will be kept on file for one school year, and if your qualifications meet the district's needs, you may be contacted for more information and an interview.
What information do you need to provide?
Required information depends on the job you're applying for, and when you select one or more jobs, each may add different pages to your application. You may need to provide details about your related work experience, your high school information, the highest degree you’ve attained as well as your GPA and academic honors.
What credentials do you need?
All of the district's teachers, administrators, service personnel and paraprofessionals need to have an appropriate certificate for the field, grade level, subject or assignment as required by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission.

What is the interview process like?
Respondents at Glassdoor gave the interview process a difficulty of 2.3, which classifies it as average. One person who interviewed for a teaching job said the district asked him or her to present a sample lesson, which was taped.
Other interviewees reported being asked the following questions:
