Dewberry Capital, led by developer John Dewberry, has acquired retail broker Gene Kansas’s five-year-old real estate firm.

Kansas will lead Dewberry’s retail leasing efforts both at Peachtree Pointe and other Dewberry developments.

Dewberry owns a prominent corner of Midtown, at Peachtree and 10th streets, but has been waiting for better economic times to redevelop that area. That project would likely include street-level retail shops.

Kansas will continue his third-party representation business which serves clients such as Novare Group, Halpern Enterprises and Pope & Land.
