A new team of brokers from real estate services powerhouse CBRE plans to trick out some space in Bank of America Plaza to woo creative companies, startups and perhaps innovation labs for major companies. They're also overhauling public spaces and amenities in the 55-story building.
The idea is to bring a little technology energy to a tower best known for housing bankers and lawyers.
Landing major corporate users remains a key part of the strategy to fill the half-empty skyscraper. And the tower’s existing tenants like Bank of America and Troutman Sanders remain a big part of the building’s future. But the effort shows how a building must evolve and adapt.
