Atlantic Southeast Airlines, an Atlanta-based Delta Connection carrier, announced it will change its name to SureJet once its merger with ExpressJet Airlines is complete.

Atlantic Southeast, which is a subsidiary of SkyWest Inc., acquired ExpressJet last November and expects to get a single operating certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration by the end of this year.

Atlantic Southeast president Brad Holt said the company developed the SureJet name using employee feedback. The new logo draws from the logos of each airline, and the airline's new tagline will be "Partner. Ally. Friend."
